These two photos found in a family archive were left with the family, who saved Jews and non-Jews during the war in Trzebieszów. The daughter of the family, in 1945 was 9 years old, remembers the name of one of the women – KIBISCH. The stamp on this photo says that the picture was made in Ostrów Wielkopolski.
The second photo is part of a bigger one, the inscription on the back says: „17 years after the wedding /…/” – the name of the couple is missing. Later someone wrote with a pencil: „Szmajowie,” which means „Szmaja and his wife.” Both women seem to be survivors, but we cannot find anything about them in the survivors registry in the JHI Archives.
