One of the meetings of the 2019 JHI Summer Academy

Summer and Winter Academy

The Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute has been organizing educational trainings dedicated to the subject of the Holocaust since 2009. The offer is addressed to humanities teachers, local activists and educators. The trainings follow the educational strategy based on the permanent exhibition „What we were unable to shout out to the world”, dedicated to the Oneg Shabbat group and the Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto. In the exhibition, the witnesses and victims of the Holocaust speak with their own voices.

Annual training seminars for teachers, educators and local activists take place twice every year:

  • Summer Academy (Spring-Summer),
  • Winter Academy (Autumn-Winter).

Participation in the Academy provides an opportunity to take part in:

  • Meetings with experts,
  • Lectures and discussions,
  • Curatorial guided tour to the permanent exhibition,
  • Educational walks,
  • A course in the use of the Delet educational webportal,
  • A study visit to the Museum of Struggle and Martyrdom in Treblinka.

The seminars provide an opportunity for teachers from the whole Poland to develop the best possible methods of working with students, thanks to support of the experts in terms of subjects and methods.

We would like to invite everyone interested in future editions of the JHI Academy to follow our website, social media and the News tab.

For teachers, we offer a training in the use of the Delet educational webportal.
