The Tłomackie Bookstore in all its beauty.

The interior was designed by architects Kacper and Jan Gronkiewicz and one needs a good deal of varsavianistic sensibility, as well as the knowledge of the pre-war area around the Central Judaic Library, to be able to notice all its hidden intricacies.

The bookstore was built by the “Pracownia Tryktrak “collective and its logo was designed by Łukasz Izert from the Zespół Wespół group.

Incunabulum Identified in the Collections of the JHI
At the conclusion of the study of old Hebrew prints in the collections of the Jewish Historical Institute, we were met with a truly sensational surprise. One of the final books waiting to be processed and registered in the Aleph library system turned out to be the oldest print in the collection – an incunabulum printed in Italy in 1488.

Signing of the Agreement on cooperation between the Jewish Historical Institute and the Warsaw Ghetto Museum
On March 12 director of the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute, Monika Krawczyk and director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum, Albert Stankowski, have signed a cooperation agreement between the institutions.
