Drohobycz, Bruno Schulz’s hometown, one of the provincial towns of Małopolska Wschodnia; it became the biggest inspiration for the artist’s works, including both literature and painting. In the same place, about a dozen years earlier, other profound artists were born: Maurycy and Leopold Gottlieb.
At the exhibition and, as a result, in the catalogue, works of these thee artists were presented. They come from the collections of the Jewish Historical Institute and include six drawings by Bruno Schulz which are rarely exhibited.
